    CHENEY – Waitsburg senior Emily Adams dominated the long-distance events at the state 1B tournament here on Friday and Saturday. Adams won state titles in the 800, 1600 and 3200 meter races, and took third in the triple jump. On Friday Adams won the 1,600 easily, setting a new personal record of 5:20.32.     YAKIMA – The Dayton softball team traveled to Yakima to participate in the 2B state tournament on Friday and Saturday. The Lady Bulldogs played three games before being knocked out of the tournament by Northwest Christian. In the first game Dayton faced off against Ocosta, but came up short losing 11-6 and sending the Bulldogs to the consolation bracket.     SPOKANE VALLEY – Waitsburg senior Emily Adams won all four of her events at the regional track and field championships here last weekend and moves on to the State 1B tournament in Cheney beginning Friday.     EPHRATA, Wash. – On Saturday, the Dayton softball team traveled to Ephrata to battle in the D5/D6 Regional Tournament. The Dawgs beat Liberty Bell and DeSales to put them in the championship game, where they were defeated by Brewster for the number one seed for the State 2B tournament this weekend.     PASCO – The Dayton softball team traveled to Tri-Cities for the EWAC regional qualifier on Saturday, where they were seeded third. Dayton was paired against Kittitas, the number-two seed, for their first game.     RICHLAND – The Dayton softball team was able to hit the ball very well against Liberty Christian’s reserve pitchers last week, as L-C’s number-one pitcher was out with an injury.     A small Dayton Track team competed at the Prosser Invitational Saturday. Dayton was down numerous athletes due to sickness and an FBLA event. Hazel Tu, Dayton’s only female competitor Saturday, worked very hard on her long jump and it showed when she added almost two feet to her best jump, leaping 11-07.
