    MS baseball team gets a win WAITSBURG-The Waitsburg middle school boys baseball team defeated Touchet 10-1 in Waitsburg on April 26. Trace Nesje pitched three innings for the Cardinals, recording several strikeouts with Isaac Mahre as catcher. Then Mahre pitched relief, and Nesje moved to the catcher. Jessika Lambert, William Daves, Marion Duncan, Alyssa Hollingsworth, Cedar Stegall, and Sarah Daves placed first in Vet Science. Individually, Hollingsworth placed ninth overall, W.     DW COMBINE—DW beat Walla Walla Valley Academy in both games of a doubleheader at WWVA on Tuesday, April 18. WWVA was limited to two hits in the first game and one hit in the second game as the Wolfpack pitchers, Levi Boudrieau and Jasper Morrow, shut down their opponent. In game one, Boudrieau walked two and struck out nine in the game that ended in the fifth inning per the mercy rule. The Wolfpack had twelve hits and won 12-1.     WAITSBURG-Beekeepers Mark and Eleanora Montgomery held the beekeeping club's first field class on Tuesday, April 18. Three school club members were available to witness the release of the queen bee. Students Reagan Milliman, Dexter Collins, and Verbena McLaughlin donned new bee suits while Mark started the smoker.     DW COMBINE—The DW golf team competed against Walla Walla Valley Academy (WWVA,) Goldendale, and White Swan at the Touchet Valley Golf Course in Dayton on April 18. Due to an irrigation project on the course, only 16 holes were available. Goldendale golfer Ike O’Leary placed first with a score of 72 on the 16-hole, par 64 course.     WAITSURG-About 120 people came to Waitsburg's Town hall making the Waitsburg Celebration Days spaghetti feed fundraiser a success. Lanny Adams was the emcee for the April 15 event, including a spaghetti dinner, silent auction, and lively dessert auction. Mark Holtz provided live music.     DW COMBINE-It was a long nine-inning game on a cold, windy afternoon in Dayton during the DW vs. Desales softball game on April 13.
