    DAYTON – It was homecoming night for both Dayton and Waitsburg high schools Friday, and the DW football team gave students from both schools something to cheer about. The home team easily overpowered Mabton and cruised to a 55-30 victory that wasn't as close as the score indicated.     RICHLAND – At the Richland Invite cross-country meet on Friday, Waitsburg's Emily Adams had a strong race, finishing 3rd out of 108 runners in the Division II varsity heat. "Emily finished very strong and solid," said Waitsburg coach Ann Adams. "She got boxed in a bit at the start but handled the pressure, working her way up to the front of the pack where she just continued to pick up her pace."     LYLE, Wash. – The Dayton-Waitsburg football team took a four-hour-plus bus ride down the Columbia River gorge on Friday and came away with a 52-0 win over Lyle-Wishram.     DAYTON – A wildfire that started Saturday afternoon about seven miles south of Dayton on North Touchet Road was mostly contained by Monday morning.
