    WAITSBURG - The city of Waitsburg received two grants totaling about $700,000 to update Seventh Street between Main and Arnold Streets. One of the grants is $615,000 and is supplied by the Department of Transportation and the remainder of the $700,000 is funded by the state Transpor- tation Improvement Board.     DAYTON - Women from the Community Bible Church in Dayton are work- ing to collect funds for a mission trip to Guatemala with a dinner banquet. In Guatemala the wom- en's ministry will work with the women in Guatemala City, teaching sewing so the women have a trade they can sell to earn money for their families and a mini first aid class, ministry member Donnie Henderson said.     DAYTON - Joseph Shu- ba, who pleaded guilty last month to second-degree murder in the shooting death of his wife, Suzanne, last year, was sentenced to 20 years in prison on January 30 by Columbia County Superior Court Judge William Acey. Shuba, 59, was ordered to serve 180 months for murder plus 60 additional months because the crime involved a firearm.     Buses On The Way To Haul Students To And From School PRESCOTT – The Prescott School District will get two much-needed pur- chases this year – two new school buses. Prescott’s Business Man- ager AJ Jacobson said two of the school buses owned by the district will be replaced. One bus is a 2000, 35-passenger vehicle that has 184,284 miles.
