    Are all of you aware that spring has sprung? Well, maybe not weather-wise; I am referring to the time of year when we all 'spring ahead'. Did you remember to set your clocks ahead and also change the battery in your smoke alarm? It's not too late to do so now. It has been a busy time at Columbia County Senior Center.     DAYTON - Things seem to be going fairly well at Co­lumbia County Senior Center. We were certainly surprised last week when we came for lunch to find there was a power outage. It didn't take too long to discover that some of us 'do not' cope when there is no coffee available! This didn't deter the guys playing pool. Any miscues (pardon the pun) were blamed on not seeing correctly. We had a good time reminiscing about yesteryear when we had no electricity, used kerosene lanterns, warmed up to a pot- bellied stove and the hand cranked wringer... Full story
