The Columbia County Friends of the Fairgrounds held a two day yard sale last week at the Fairgrounds Pavilion, to raise funds for updates and improvements to the fairgrounds. While putting away a recipe booklet, I noticed a recipe with sweet potatoes, pecans and blue cheese, and thought, 'what an interesting combination.' Remodeling of the Prescott Lions Hall is nearing completion and the Lions plan to be open to serve their monthly fundraising breakfast this weekend, Jan. 27 and 28 from 8-11 a.m..
