WAITSBURG – WP Heavyweight wrestler Tristan Newman got off to a great start at the 2015 State Mat Classic at the Tacoma Dome on Friday, Feb. 20, but failed to maintain enough momentum to take a spot on the podium. WAITSBURG – The WHS gymnasium was a happening place on Wednesday, Feb. 18 as Waitsburg elementary and middle school students jumped rope, hula hooped and shot baskets as part of a campaign to raise funds for the American Heart Association (AHA).
