    WAITSBURG – The Waitsburg FFA Chapter has four State FFA Degree recipients and eight members who received proficiency awards. Members will receive their degrees and awards at the State FFA convention in May. State Degree recipients are: Tom House, Brandon Boudrieau, Jared Farley, and Devin Newman.     DAYTON – The Dayton High School softball team is looking to repeat a trip to the state tournament this spring. Dayton lost their starting catcher and first basemen from the 2016 season, but is fielding seven of last year's starting lineup. This year, 16 athletes have turned out for the Lady Bulldogs.     DAYTON – The BMS Co-op will host a cooking class titled “One Juicy Chicken – Four Tasty Dinners” on Sat., April 23 from 3-5 p.m. The class is $36 for non-members and $18 for members.     DUSTY – According to an article in the Whitman County Gazette, the doors to the Dusty Country Store have closed and the business is up for sale.
