    WAITSBURG - Student and adult volunteers staged a scary, well-organized haunted house at Preston Hall on October 30. The frightfest successfully raised money towards the costs to send students to the Amazing Shake National Competion in Georgia in March 2025.     Ten Years Ago November 6, 2014 Members of the family of former longtime Port of Columbia Manager Gene Turner were joined by local dignitaries last week for the dedication of the Lyons Ferry Marina Accessible Walkway and Fishing Pad.
