    The Rev. Ernest W. Collard of East Wenatchee died on Friday, March 28, 2014. He was born June 13, 1927, at Walla Walla, WA, the son of Samuel and Ida (Mantz) Collard, wheat farmers northwest of Walla Walla. When he was 6 years old, the family moved to their farm eight miles west of Prescott. He graduated from Prescott High School in 1945, and then attended Wartburg College, Waverly, Iowa, and WSU, before graduating in 1948 from Pacific Lutheran University, Tacoma.     WAITSBURG -- The Waitsburg Resource Center sponsored a visit from the Northwest Medical Teams International Mobile Dental Van last Friday. Volunteers Randy Pearson, DDS and assistant Diana Larsen were able to serve six patients during the 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. visit, though more were on the waiting list. Pam Conover, a Resource Center Board member, said the cost of the van is $600. The Waitsburg High School National Honor Society donated over $400 toward the visit.     ASOTIN - Judge William D. Acey announced his retirement as Superior Court Judge for Washington's Hells Canyon Circuit on March 31. His retirement will take effect April 30. Judge Acey has served in that position, which covers Asotin, Columbia and Garfield Counties, for 13 years.
