  • Lone Birch 2021 Syrah

    Paul Gregutt, The Times|Apr 27, 2023

Lone Birch is the low-cost brand from Airfield Estates (Airfield’s Dauntless red wine was featured last week). The stacked flavors are true to varietal character, true to place, and made to be enjoyed immediately while also built for longer-term aging. You’d have to pay at least double to find something comparable. Purch...

    Luke Chavez, The Times|Apr 27, 2023

With our recent soggy spring weather, I have found myself researching dishes that feel like sunshine on a plate. This classic dish balances a spicy chili and tomato sauce with sweet, plump shrimp, while a bright and herbaceous creamy sauce on the side further cools the heat from the chilies. Ingredients: For the Cilantro Lime Crema: 1 cup sour cream 1 ½ teaspoons ground cumin 2 tablespoons minced...
