  • Andrews Wins Long Jump in Lewiston

    LEWISTON – Dayton senior Kaitlyn Andrews competed in three events at the Meet of Champions in Lewiston April 30. She won the long jump, with a leap of 16 feet, 4 inches. Andrews also placed 4th in the triple jump and 5th in the 100 meter run. Due to state regulations, Andrews’ signature event, the javelin, is not held at meets in Idaho. Dayton sophomore Angela mascall finished 9th in the 200 meter race and 13th in the 100. Sophomore Carissa Price was 19th in the 100 meters....

    Wait-Hi NHS members raised $539.50 in funds at a basketball season Taco Bar and presented it to Marilyn Stellwagon of Black Dog Rescue on Saturday morning. They also donated $401.75, raised from a basketball season potato bar, to the Waitsburg Resource Center. The Leo's Club and Honor Society are planning an all-school food drive for May 18th....

  • Dayton FFA Places 8th at State

    Dayton's FFA Agronomy Team placed 8th in the state this year and will be receiving recognition on stage at the state convention this month. In other Dayton FFA news, the robotics team did not rank high enough to compete in the Regional Event in Cheney, but FFA advisor Kristina Knebel said, "We were still very happy with how we did in the district events. Being placed 8th at Ellensburg was a high achievement for us!" At the state convention in May the following DHS seniors will be competing and...
