    WAITSBURG – Waitsburg's Odako Club is no more – at least not in an official capacity. The community service organization will award their final scholarship this June, but intends to maintain its tradition of encouraging students.     WAITSBURG – Nearly two dozen people gathered at the Waitsburg Christian Church to spend last Saturday learning how faith-based organizations can help in preparing for and dealing with disasters. The FEMA course was hosted by the Waitsburg Resource Center and sponsored by the Rural Domestic Preparedness Consortium.     Cardinals Callas and Adams get three individual wins each DAYTON Dayton hosted local schools in a track and field meet last Tuesday. The Waitsburg boys dominated the meet and won the team competition with 172 points, with its nearest competitor, St. John-Endicott scoring 120 points. The Dayton boys came in third with 106 points.     DAYTON – Losses last week to Liberty Christian and Tri-Cities Prep knocked the Dayton-Waitsburg baseball team out of their third-place standing in the league and forced a 3-inning playoff game against DeSales this Tuesday.     RICHLAND – The Dayton softball team was able to hit the ball very well against Liberty Christian’s reserve pitchers last week, as L-C’s number-one pitcher was out with an injury. With several free passes throughout the day, combined with 36 hits, Dayton scored in every inning of the double header and every starter for the Bulldogs was had a hit.
