WAITSBURG – Larry and Pam Conover are honored to be selected as the 2016 Waitsburg Celebration Days parade marshals. That said, Larry admitted his first thought was, "I didn't think we were old enough! Couldn't they find anybody older? We're officially old now!" That type of self-deprecating humor, along with a big dose of humility, is typical of the third-generation Waitsburg farmer who makes light of his contributions to the community he proudly calls home. "I wouldn't live anyplace else!" L...

    Jennifer Rubin, The Washington Post|May 19, 2016

Reports suggesting that the search for a third candidate has stalled, lacks money or faces insurmountable hurdles to qualifying for ballots in 50 states are inaccurate. Bill Kristol, editor of Weekly Standard and one of several Republicans driving the search, recently told this column: “Our research and groundwork show an independent bid is doable. I think someone credible will seize the moment within the next couple of weeks.” And yet the problem of finding an actual candidate has dogged the group. There is no doubt that Sen.
