    DAYTON – Summer weather means yard sales, garage sales and special events nearly every weekend. Dayton city workers would like to remind citizens that affixing signs to utility poles violates city code and poses risk of damage to city property.     DAYTON – The city of Dayton has hired a new city attorney: Anthony Menke of Menke, Jackson and Beyer in Yakima. City councilors authorized the contract during their regular meeting June 8. Menke’s official start date is July 14. Gregory Lutcher, a Walla Walla lawyer, had been the city’s official attorney for the last three years.
