    WAITSBURG – Running on their home course in the District 9 Championships on Saturday, Waitsburg’s Emily Adams and Landon Callas each brought home first-place trophies.     WALLA WALLA -- Jim Johnson is finishing his first full term as commissioner, representing Walla Walla County's District 1. He was appointed to the position in May, 2012, to finish out the final eight months of the previous term. He was elected, as a Republican, for the current term in November of that year.     WAITSBURG – The Waitsburg School District is seeking voter approval for a $3.8 million capital improvement bond. If approved, the bond funds would be used for three projects. The first is upgrading the HVAC system in all three schools, including adding air conditioning to the elementary school. The projected cost for this project is between $2.4 million and $2.9 million.
