WAITSBURG — The Waitsburg Cardinals prevailed 54-24 in a hard-fought football game against Sunnyside Christian on Friday, November 1. Starting quarterback Isa Reyes was out due to a concussion and JJ Gleason stepped up to take on the leadership role. WAITSBURG - Student and adult volunteers staged a scary, well-organized haunted house at Preston Hall on October 30. The frightfest successfully raised money towards the costs to send students to the Amazing Shake National Competion in Georgia in March 2025. Ten Years Ago November 6, 2014 Members of the family of former longtime Port of Columbia Manager Gene Turner were joined by local dignitaries last week for the dedication of the Lyons Ferry Marina Accessible Walkway and Fishing Pad. The facility was dedicated in honor of Turner, who passed away last year. Turner first proposed the project in 2006.
