Wheeler, 76, of Libby, Montana, died on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Brendan House in Kalispell after suffering a traumatic brain injury in September while feeding cattle on the family farm. He was born October 19, 1941 in Council, ID to LeRoy and Freida Wheeler. His family moved to Washington state within a few months of birth and eventually settled in Waitsburg where he developed a love of farming and animals.     WAITSBURG – Waitsburg middle school students were relocated Mon., Dec. 4 following a malfunction of the electrical panel on Sunday night. As a precaution, the district turned off heat to the building until it could be determined that there were no fire hazard concerns. Columbia County Assessor Chris Mills wants you to be aware of tax hikes in 2018 when a new statewide levy goes into effect.     Dear Editor, On Saturday, December 2, with the Columbia County-Walla Walla County Fire District 2 volunteers and community members, the Waitsburg Resource Center was able to deliver 260 Christmas stockings to children in the City of Waitsburg. The leftover stockings were donated to Santa to deliver at 10 Ton. What a fun day for the children, and for us.
