    Waitsburg Students brighten the holiday season with music WAITSBURG - Waitsburg Elementary School held its winter program at the high school auditorium on Thursday, December 18. Superintendent Jeremy Wheatley, Business Manager Jana Eaton, and Student Representative Lila Hutchens were present.     WAITSBURG - The Lady Cardinals won two of three basketball games last week. The girls beat the Touchet team 39-34, beat St. John 44-23, but lost to Tekoa-Rosalia 61-15. At Touchet on December 17, the girls played their best game of the season and came together as a team. The Cardinals came from behind in the fourth quarter to get the win.
