WAITSBURG – Each year, on the first weekend in December, Waitsburg families flock to Main Street to enjoy Waitsburg’s annual Christmas celebration. This will be Waitsburg’s 31st Hometown Christmas. WAITSBURG - Former Times Publisher Tom Baker, passed away at Booker Rest Home Monday afternoon. He was 86. Baker co-owned The Times with his wife, Anita, from 1964 to 1991 and served as the paper’s editor and publisher during those years. Civic-minded Baker also served as the town’s mayor and actively participated in Commercial Club, Lions Club, and the Presbyterian Church, among others. WAITSBURG – The Waitsburg Leos and Lions Clubs joined together to collect 868 pounds of food for the Waitsburg Resource Center last week. The Resource Center donates approximately 7,000 lbs. of food to families in need each year.
