WAITSBURG – Anyone with an interest in the Waitsburg fairgrounds is encouraged to attend a public meeting of the Fairgrounds Committee on Tues., Sept. 12 at 6:30 p.m. at Ten Ton Press (316 Main) in Waitsburg. The focus will be on the proposed demolition of the grandstand building at the fairgrounds. WAITSBURG – After many years, the Waitsburg Christian Church is changing its service time. Previously, church serviced began at 9:30 a.m. in the summer and 11 a.m. during the school year. Beginning Sept. 24, Sunday services will begin at 10 a.m. year-round. DAYTON – The Columbia County Fair will hold its annual Barbeque on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Barbeque will be sponsored by Pioneer West in Dayton, who has provided funding for the food.
