    WALLA WALLA – Blue Mountain Pheasants Forever will host a Family Challenge Trap Shoot on Sept. 17. This is a team event, consisting of one adult and one youth. Youth will get first shot.     WAITSBURG – Anyone with an interest in the Waitsburg fairgrounds is encouraged to attend a public meeting of the Fairgrounds Committee on Tues., Sept. 12 at 6:30 p.m. at Ten Ton Press (316 Main) in Waitsburg.   • Christian Church Changes Service Time

    WAITSBURG – After many years, the Waitsburg Christian Church is changing its service time. Previously, church serviced began at 9:30 a.m. in the summer and 11 a.m. during the school year. Beginning Sept. 24, Sunday services will begin at 10 a.m. year-round. Children’s Church will be available during worship for grades K-6, a class will be available for 3-5 year olds, and the nursery will be available for ages 0-2....

    DAYTON – The Columbia County Fair will hold its annual Barbeque on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Barbeque will be sponsored by Pioneer West in Dayton, who has provided funding for the food.
