    WW County Temporary Burn Ban Walla Walla -- As a result of current extreme weather conditions (high temperatures and breezes forecast), Walla Walla County is declaring a temporary burn ban, effective immediately. The ban will apply to all burning, including agricultural and residential, as well as special (roadsides, ditches, etc.) The ban includes other burning that would normally be allowed without a permit.     WAITSBURG – Downtown Waitsburg will again be decked in red, white and blue for the annual Waitsburg Fourth-of-July Parade happening at noon on Wednesday.     PRESCOTT - In the article in last week’s Times about the Prescott and Waitsburg pools, some of the information regarding the Prescott Pool was outdated and incorrect. Daily gate fee is $4 for kids 6-17 and $5 for adults. Children under 5 are free. Season passes are $60 for individuals and $130 for family/grandparent passes.     DAYTON – The Sherwood Trust of Walla Walla announced that it has awarded a $65,000 grant to the Dayton Development Task Force. The funds will be used for development of a park in the area near the caboose and playground west of the Dayton Historic Depot. Plans for Caboose Park include lawn, trees and landscaping, as well as installation of additional playground equipment. Depending on funding availability, a splash pad may be added as well.
