WALLA WALLA—On July 6, at 4:11 p.m, Walla Walla Sheriff’s Office deputies were advised by dispatch that a citizen found human remains east of Walla Walla, in the county. WWSO detectives, deputies, and members of the Walla Walla Regional Taskforce responded to the scene to conduct a search of the area. PENDLETON, Ore— Umatilla National Forest officials have lifted the temporary closures on Pomeroy Ranger District Forest Service roads 4712 and 4713 following the district’s assessment of road conditions after the recent rainfall. DAYTON—On Monday, June 20, around 6:00 p.m., Columbia County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call of shots fired at 118 East Washington Street in Dayton. They encountered a 54-year-old man in a second-floor apartment, suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.
