SEATTLE—Students from Pomeroy and Prescott have been named to the Dean’s List at the University of Washington for the Autumn 2021 Quarter. To qualify for the Dean’s List, a student must have completed at least 12 graded credits and have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (out of 4). DAYTON—On Monday, June 20, around 6:00 p.m., Columbia County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call of shots fired at 118 East Washington Street in Dayton. They encountered a 54-year-old man in a second-floor apartment, suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. Columbia County Fire District #3 transported the injured man by ambulance to Dayton General Hospital. He later died from his wounds at the hospital. DAYTON—The 4th Annual Gene Crothers Memorial Golf Tournament will be teeing off in Dayton on June 25.
