Dayton resident - Gerald E. Stearns, 84, died July 21 at Washington Odd Fellows Home, 534 Boyer Avenue, Walla Walla, Washington. The graveside service will be at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 4, at the Dayton City Cemetery. Following the service there will be a gathering of friends and family at the Dayton Park. Colleen was born in Dayton, WA in 1924. She later moved to Grand Coulee, where she married Ray Cross. They always said Ray was one of the best football and basketball coaches, taking Prescott to state. Colleen told all of us kids she had a great life! She was so full of life and never slowed down. Lloyd Cole Stovall, age 72, died May 12 in Anacortes, Wash. A celebration of his life was held on May 29th at the Park Village Clubhouse in Mt. Vernon.
