WALLA WALLA - Willow, one of Walla Walla's premier downtown art galleries, is beginning an ambitious three-month show "Mixing Media 7 by 13" on Aug. 6. The show, featuring 13 artists representing various media, will run through Oct. 13.
The show's opening night reception from 5 - 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 6, will feature talks by Daymon Bruck and Glen Greenwalt, two of the artists in the exhibition. A demonstration by Margie McDonald will start at about 6 p.m.
The opening will be followed by a sidewalk art sale from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 7, offering works from Greenwalt, McDonald
and M'Lisse Moerk. For an artist studio tour at Matt McKern's the same day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., pick up a map at Willow. On Friday, Sept. 3, from 5 to 8 p.m., an artwalk will feature talks by Matt McKern and Teresa Tamura. A waterdrop workshop begins at about 6 p.m. Another artwalk follows on Oct. 1 from 5 to 8 p.m. with demonstrations by Martha Mason, Moerk and McWillow Donald. It starts at 6 p.m. Artists' studio tours at Jeanne McMenemy and John Sailing will be on Saturday, Oct. 2 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Willow will have maps.
