Serving Waitsburg, Dayton and the Touchet Valley
To my entire hometown Waitsburgians, I've wanted for some time to thank you for your love, support, and prayers. My parents often write and tell me people have asked about me and put me on the prayer chain. There is no doubt in my mind that the power of prayer has gotten me this far. I've often wondered why bad things happen and think God is giving us opportunities to be strong. We must live each day beautifully as tomorrow is promised to no one and we have but one life; there are no refunds whether we are satisfied or not.
I've chosen today to write because after two brain surgeries, 30 rounds of radiation and chemo, I've been released from the hospital. My last MRI was very encouraging; though I will have to stay on oral chemo for possibly two years, I can take this at home and still be with my husband and beautiful girls. There is no cure for brain tumors as of yet, but it is possible to live with one for many years. There are many survivors. I pray to be one.
I'm sure there are people who need prayers more than I, but if you could continue to keep me in your prayers, it gives me strength and I appreciate it dearly. Perhaps I can thank you in person as my doctor has cleared me to come home for Christmas if my MRI remains stable.
Much love, thanks and wishes of good health to you all. God bless,
Rachel Hinchliffe Hara
