Barbara E. Huff,

89, long-time resident of Spo­kane, died Aug. 22. A cel­ebration of Barbie's life was held Tuesday, Aug. 24.

Barbara was born in Waitsburg on Jan. 22, 1921, to G. Earl and Niona Free­man. Mrs. Barbara "Barbie" Huf f graduate d fro m Waits­burg

High School, Class of 1938, and went on to Washington State University, where she became a member of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority. Barbie later re­ceived her Bachelors of Arts in Education from Eastern Washington University. She went on to be a teacher for 21 years before retiring in 1985. Barbie was preceded in death by her parents: G. Earl and Niona Freeman of Waitsburg, Donald R Huff, and companion of over forty years: Robert Horn.

She is survived by her son: Ronald E. Huff of St Peters­burg, FL, and grandson: Mat­son Huff of St Petersburg, FL, granddaughter: Marina Huff Albritton and husband Christopher of Tampa, FL, and long time friends and caretakers: Janet and William Lafountain of Spokane, WA.
