through the Munselle-Rhodes Funeral Home, 902 S. Main St, Milton-Freewater, Oregon. Deloris was born on June 22, 1930, in Walla Walla. She was the daughter of Merle and Evalyn Jones Brown of Prescott. Growing up in a farming family, Deloris was proud of her family heritage and to have lived most of her life in the Prescott area. She attended school in Prescott, graduating from high school in 1949. She was involved in many school clubs, a cheerleader, and Queen of the Waitsburg Days of Real Sport in 1949. On September 25, 1949, Deloris married Donald Ford of Waitsburg. They lived briefly in Waitsburg, Walla Walla, and Touchet, but spent most of their married years in Prescott. She took a great deal of pride in their home that built themselves. There they raised three children, Allen, Annette and Adelle. Deloris and Don felt blessed that their three children chose to live near enough to visit often. Deloris enjoyed the peacefulness of the country and being outdoors. She loved working in her yard and helping Don with farm work. For years, Deloris cooked three meals a day for harvest crews. Her love of animals flowed to her children, who had many cattle and horse projects. Although

Don was famous for his practical jokes, Deloris was often the mastermind behind many hilarious occasions. Deloris liked to fish, sew, crochet, knit, bowl and travel. For a number of years, Deloris drove school bus for the Prescott School District. Deloris enjoyed being a member of Waitsburg Chapter #9 of Eastern Star (past Worthy Matron and a state Grand Representative), Prescott Homemakers, Prescott Alumni Association, 4-H leader, Rainbow Girls Mother Advisor, and Historical Auto Club.
