Norman "Cougar" Eaton

Norman "Cou­gar"Eaton passed away on October 14, 2010, peacefully at home.

The Memorial Funeral Ser­vice will be held on Friday, October 29, 2010, at 11 a.m. at the Harvest Christian Center in Dayton, Washington. Private family interment will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice through the Pro­fessional Funeral Directors Crematory, 2112 S.2nd, Walla Walla, Wash. Norman was born on May 4, 1929, to Walter Laura Pearl Spragg Eaton. Lifetime resident of Columbia County, he farmed with his father on Eckler Moun­tain. He also raised cattle on Eckler Mountain. Norman was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his wife, LeClercq at the home, several children, Marie McCauley, Deb­bie Franklin, Bonnie Johnson, Tim Bennett, Tamara Hersey, Theron Bennett and Thane Ben­nett. He is also survived by his sisters, MaryAlice Powell of Portland, Ore., and Lanada Cun­ningham of Cordova, Alaska, and brothers, Arley Eaton of Spokane, Wash., and John Eaton of Dayton, Wash., as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Laura Pearl Sprag Eaton; brother, Wal­ter (Otho) Eaton; sisters, Shirley Wilson and Myrna Elkin; and a stepson, Mike Eaton.
