Serving Waitsburg, Dayton and the Touchet Valley
In this month's Union Bulletin Lifestyles magazine, Managing Editor Robin Hamilton and photographer Greg Lehman produced a piece about the Times - our changes since taking over, the response to them from readers, our backgrounds and our vision for the newspaper.
We are grateful for this coverage and its colorful presentation. The Rockwellian cover art reflects the love and respect we have for the newspaper's 133-year history and the buildings
we're currently renovating. The article itself reflects the connection we feel to the Touchet Valley community, where we hope to earn our role as the predominant news source.
But in an unspoken way, the Union Bulletin is being modest. The Walla Walla daily has been a big part of our success. Every week, the UB prints our publication, shares ads and generously dispenses technical advice and support.
Sure, our newspapers compete on stories - our newsgathering operations are strictly independent. But the bigger newspaper has traditionally been very supportive of the Times, and for this, we are extremely grateful. We would like to single out Times publisher Rob Blethen; ad production manager Vera Hammill; IT manager Josh Gesler, press and distribution manager John Partlow; ad sales representatives Jeff Sasser and Masood Gorashi; and advertising director Jay Brodt. Thanks to our professional colleagues at the Union Bulletin for making us look so good, not just in Lifestyles magazine but every single week.
