Les Pardue

June 12, 1919 - Novem­ber23, 2010 Leslie C. Pardue, 91, passed away on November 23, 2010, at the VA Hospital in Spokane, Washington, fol­lowing complications after surgery. Memorial services will be in the spring of 2011 at the Westside Cemetery in Lakeview, Oregon. Les was born in Lakeview, Oregon, where he grew up and married his childhood sweetheart. He worked many years as a logger with his own truck and even served as Justice of the Peace in Lakeview. Les moved his family from Lakeview in 1959 and worked as a heavy equipment operator in Oregon, Wash­ington, Idaho and Alaska. When he retired in 1979, he and his wife Margie traveled the Western United States for

years in their motor home. They settled in the Grand Coulee Dam area before moving to Spokane, Wash­ington. His beautiful singing voice and love for life will be missed by many. Les had been a member of the Dayton Fraternal Order of the Eagles and was a life­time member of the Masonic Scottish Rite Lodges and the VFW. He was a World War II veteran serving in the Army Air Corps.

Les was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years and his son Wes, and twin sister, Isabelle Sundet. Les leaves behind two daughters, Leslie (Pardue) Green and husband Phil, of Spokane, Wash­ington. Bonnie (Pardue) Crothers and husband Mike of Dayton, Washington, 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 11 great, great-grandchildren.
