2 Coaches' Suspension For the first time in its history, this fall the Waitsburg School District suspended an entire sports program's coaching staff after it received a complaint from a parent accusing the three women's volleyball coaches of "bullying" her daughter. The district's decision was controversial and has been appealed by two of the coaches - head coach Jessie Buehler (left) and her sister, assistant coach Katie Buehler (right).

3 WP Soccer Effect (below) It was a magical first season for the WP Tigers' brand new soccer team, which won a district title, went 18-1, ranked first in the state, scored 115 goals and had five players in All State. But that wasn't all. Many players improved their grades, and all four seniors were invited for trials at Walla Walla Community College.

4 Bulldogs Volleyball Team Goes To State Under leadership of head coach Shannon Turner, the Lady Bulldogs went to the state playoffs in Yakima for the first time in five years. The young team won its first game against Wahkiakum, but lost against Darrington and Bear Creek. Turner said the team will now be better prepared for next year with many of the same players returning for the 2011 season.
