Bradley Jay "Sam" Barton, age 58 years, of 514 Tremont St. #26, Dayton, WA, died December 23, 2010, at the St. Mary Medical Center. Memorial services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, January 15, 2011, at the First Christian Church in Dayton with Pastor Jim Edwards officiating.
Sam was born August 29, 1952, in Ogden, Utah. His parents were Randall "Jay" and Florence Earl Barton. The family moved to Dayton in 1963, where he attended Dayton Schools with the class of 1971 until he moved to Boise, ID. He returned to the Dayton area in the early 1970s and worked for Green Giant Co. in the warehouse as a forklift operator until he became disabled in 2000.
In 1985 Sam married Wendy Kenney in a ceremony held in Dayton. They later divorced.
Sam enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and boating. He liked playing the guitar and the piano. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Dayton and a longtime member of the Dayton Eagles. He also enjoyed visiting with friends and family.
He is survived by his daughter, Tiffani, and son, Codie, and granddaughter, Emily, all of Vancouver, Wash.; a brother and sister- in- law, Randy and Lori Barton of Dayton; 3 sisters and 2 brothers-in-law, Jill and Pete Parcells of Walla Walla, Stacey Chavez of Beaverton, Ore., and Valerie and Dale Fahey of Melba, Idaho; his stepmother Dona McKay of Pasco, WA.; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Brandon Barton.
