Floyd T. McCauley, 95, died Jan. 18, 2011, at Booker Rest Home in Dayton.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011, at United Methodist Church in Dayton. Pastor Bill will officiate.
Floyd was born March 1, 1915, in Dayton to Charles H. and Beatrice (Tilson) Mc- Cauley.
A lifelong resident, he attended schools in Dayton and was a Dayton High School Graduate. He married Frances Hubbard on January 25, 1952, in Pasco.
For over 45 years he was a State Farm Agent in Dayton and had a television repair shop. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Toastmasters, the Kiwanis Club, and VFW Post # 42 of Dayton and the American Legion.He was a World War II veteran and served in the South Pacific.
Floyd enjoyed spending time at his cabin, flying his airplane and working on his farm on Payne Hollow.
Floyd is survived by one son, Jim McCauley of Victor, Montana; two daughters, Nancy Reser of Spokane and Sue Seese of Touchet; 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his wife; one daughter, Wanda Guckenburger; one son, Tom McCauley; two sisters and one brother.
Hubbard-Rogg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Dayton United Methodist Church.
