Shelly Jones

Shelly Jones passed away February 10, 2011, in Lakeway Harbor, Texas. Memorial services will be announced at a later date.

Shelly was born to Kermit D. and Delores L. (Belanger) Jones. She grew up in Waitsburg, Wash. After graduating with the Waitsburg class of 1969, she attended Walla Walla Community College.

Shelly's passions in life were animals and music. She spent many years working with thoroughbred horses at various tracks and breeding farms in the Pacific Northwest and California. She enjoyed playing music with her friends and attending concerts and bluegrass festivals.

Shelly is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Dan and Peggy Jones of Waitsburg, Wash.; a niece, Toni and James Riggs of San Diego, Calif.; a nephew Kevin and Cheri Jones of Fairfield, Calif.; and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents.
