Getting In The Swing

Young Touchet Valley golfers were tested for the first time this season in Pasco at the District 9 Jamboree last Thursday. The Golf Land course was nine holes, par 27. Top scorers for Dayton were seniors Dain Henderson, with 36 strokes (or par 9-over), and Jaron Button (pictured here), with 39 (or par 12-over). Junior Mohannad Owiwi scored 48 and freshman Tim Ihle scored 60. Dayton girls who competed were seniors Molly Payne, who scored 42 (or par 15-over), and Kyla Ihle, with 50. Sophomore Dakota Baker, Waitsburg-Prescott's only golfer, achieved the best score of local competitors, with 34 strokes (par 7-over).
