WP EARNS TOP TRACK SCORES

CLARKSTON - The Waitsburg-Prescott men's track and field team took top marks at the District 9 meet here on Wednesday, March 23.

Scoring a total of 118 points, the Cardinals out-competed second-place Asotin, with 96 points, and third-place Pomeroy, with 79.

In the 100 meter race, junior Jared Morris took 5th with a time of 11.81 seconds, senior Justin Armstrong took 6th and junior Antonio Thompkins took 8th. Sophomore Seth Deal took 1st place in the 1600 meters race, with a time of 4:47 minutes. Deal also took 1st in the 3200 meters.

The Lady Cardinals took fourth place at the meet, scoring 58 total points. Asotin women took first with 128 points, St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse-Washtucna earned 82.5, and Garfield-Palouse/Colton took third with 72.

DAYTON ATHLETES PLACE AT MEET

CLARKSTON - Several Bulldogs athletes earned high scores at the District 9 meet, including freshman Ryan Proctor, who scored 2nd in the long jump, and senior Josh Frame, who placed 6th in the shot put. Frame also placed 12th in the 100 meter race.

Junior Garett Turner took 9th in the 400 meter, while sophomore Marshall Nechodom earned 9th in the 800 meter and 1600 meter.
