New Season Begins At Fort Walla Walla Museum Fort Walla Walla Museum opens April 1 for its 44th season of service to the community. The museum, located at 755 Myra Road in Walla Walla, is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $7 for adults, $6 for students and seniors 62 and up, $3 children 6-12; free for under 6. Golf Tournament Kicks Off Season Men's, women's and mixed, two-person teams will kick off the 2011 golf season at the Touchet Valley Golf Course, in Dayton, with a golf tournament beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 2. The cost is $10 per person. Registration takes place on April 2.

First Thursday Concert The First Thursday concert will take place on April 7 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 323 Catherine Street, Walla Walla. The program begins at 12:15 p.m. and will last about 40 minutes. Admission is free. Donations go directly to the charity of the performers' choice. Join the Christian Women's Connection for their monthly luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. This month's luncheon will take place at Lyon's Ferry Restaurant in Starbuck. Be blown away by Jerry Cummins, the balloon meister for the Walla Walla Hot-Air Balloon Stampede, as he talks about hot-air ballooning in the Northwest. Reservations are required for this event. Blue Mountain Station Groundbreaking
At 2 p.m. on Friday, April 15, the official Phase 1 Infrastructure groundbreaking ceremony will take place for Blue Mountain Station in Dayton. The ceremony is open to the public. Wine & Cheese Tasting Benefit
Looking for a fun escape on tax day? The Jimgermanbar is hosting a wine and cheese tasting starting at 5 p.m. at the Jimgermanbar at 119 Main Street, Waitsburg, to benefit Clear Path International, a nonprofit organization assisting landmine survivors and other victims of armed conflict in Afghanistan and Southeast Asia. Taste top wines from the region and cheese from the Monteillet Fromagerie. There's even a chance to win a week's stay at a French farmhouse in the "other" wine country.
