H igh school students from the Touchet Valley participated in a National Honor Society new-members induction ceremony on March 15 in Walla Walla. Students from Dayton and Waitsburg were initiated into their local chapters of National Honor Society. Membership is an honor bestowed upon the students by their individual school. To be considered eligible, students must have a minimum grade point average of 3.60, demonstrate character becoming a member, demonstrate leadership activities, and have participated in at least 10 hours of school or community service. Once inducted, members must maintain the qualities by which they were selected.
