Serving Waitsburg, Dayton and the Touchet Valley
On April 8-10, the Valley Girls Barrel Racing Association will present their 33rd Annual Barrel Daze at the Walla Walla Fairgrounds.
Over 1,000 contestants including many girls from Waitsburg and Dayton, will come from all over the United States, including Alaska, and three Canadian provinces.
Barrel racers will compete for over $150,000 in cash and awards.
The speed and action kicks off at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 8, and will continue all weekend, winding up about 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 10. One of the largest western trade shows in the Northwest will take place during that time.
The Valley Girls Barrel Racing Association has been the stronghold of the sport of barrel racing in the Walla Walla Valley since 1962.
Barrel Daze, a worldclass event, had a Futurity that was ranked 5th in the nation in 2010 and a Maturity ranked 4th. Valley Girls welcome all to compete, come watch or shop.
