RODEO A GO AT DAYTON DAYS

DAYTON - Dayton Days promoters have found an insurance policy within their financial reach, so plans are moving forward to hold the Memorial Day weekend event with rodeo and parade, Columbia County Fair manager Shane Laib said recently.

Events May 28-29 will include a jackpot rodeo at 1 p.m. Saturday, a parade Saturday morning, queen's luncheon to follow the parade, and Pro West rodeo at 7 p.m.

Sunday events will include a 10 a.m.slack timed events, and Pro West rodeo at 7 p.m.

POIRIER IS FFA SENTINEL

WAITSBURG - Waitsburg High Senior Christy Poirier last Saturday was voted one of six statewide sentinels for Future Farmers of America during that organization's convention at WSU.

For one year, she will travel the state to give leadership workshops for members of the FFA association.
