COMMUNITY YARD SALE

WAITSBURG - Nine households in Waitsburg have signed up to be listed on the city map for this year's Community Yard Sale on Saturday, June 4.

NO POOL FEES HIKE

DAYTON - The Dayton City Council recently voted not to raise pool admission rates for swimmers despite concerns from the Dayton Board of Parks Commissioners that ticket prices have not been raised in six years.

Single entry would have gone up to $2 from $1.50 and a season's pass to $62 from $50. The Dayton pool has undergone a major overhaul to upgrade its heating system and repair its apron in time for this year's swim season.

WW ART WALK FRIDAY

WALLA WALLA - Rachel Austin's Map Paintings and Archival Prints will be on display at Willow beginning at Art Walk in Walla Walla on Friday, June 3.

Austin's map paintings are created using found maps and layers of transparent paint and ink on wood panels. She is inspired by crisp moments of beauty and tries to capture them in series.

Each one is uniquely named by the Portland artist after a location on the map and mounted on handmade wood frames.
