Events At Liberty Theater

Dayton's Liberty Theater is bringi ng Buck, an award-winning documentary, to its screen this Friday. The film follows real-life " horse whisperer" Buck Brannaman on his life journey from an abusive childhood to his extraordinary approach to horses. Regular evening shows are at 7:30 on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday with 3:00 matinees on Saturday and Sunday.

On Thursday, July 28, the theater will host a special Evening with Buck. Brannaman, who will be in town for a horse clinic at the Dayton Fairgrounds, will speak to the audience following a screening of the film. The evening activities start with a down home BBQ Beef dinner at 5:30 in the theater annex and the film will begin at 7:00.

Missoula Children's Theatre (MCT), the nation's largest touring children's theatre, has been touring extensively for 30 years now from Montana to Japan and will visit over 900 communities this year with 29 teams of Tour Actor/Directors. A tour team arrives in Dayton on August 1 to begin this year's week long residency at the Liberty Theater. About 50 local students will have a chance to participate in this year's production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Enrollment is open to children who have completed Kindergarten through students entering 12th grade. Pre-registration will be held at the theater on Tuesday, July 26 from 2:30-6:30 p.m., and Friday, July 29 from 2:30-6:30 p.m. Auditions will begin at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 6 in the Liberty Theater auditorium.
