Downed Line Sparks Fire

A firefighter (bottom left) gets his hose trained on the large flames in a slash pile off the South Touchet Road on Sunday morning. The fire erupted after wind downed a tree that cut a Columbia REA power line. Crews from Columbia and Walla Walla counties responded to the emergency.
