WAITSBURG - The WP Tigers rolled to easy victories in their last two games, beating Walla Walla Valley Academy 11-0 last Wednesday and Riverside Christian 11-1 on Saturday.
The Tigers were scheduled to play Riverside Christian in Yakima on Tuesday, but no results could be obtained before this newspaper's deadline.
In Wednesday's match against the Knights, WP's Enrique scored the most goals with three, followed by Lino Diaz, Francisco Gonzalez and Aldair Escalante each with two.
Luis Torres and Jesse Albarran had one goal.
In the same game, Escalante had two assists, while Kevin Ortega, Gonzalez and Emily Wilson each had one assist. Goalie Pedro Mendoza had five saves during the home game.
On Saturday, the WP Tigers were equally dominant, allowing only one goal by Riverside.
Diaz took away three goals, followed by Ernesto Valdovinos, Gonzalez, Escalante each with two goals and Torres with one.
Ortega had three assists. Valdovinos, Jose Paniagua, Gonzalez, Balderas, Oscar Gonzalez and Escalante each had one assist. Mendoza averted four Riverside goals with saves, allowing only one goal.
In the Tigers' next match, they host St. George at 3 p.m. at home on Friday.
They tied the Spokane team in an away encounter earlier in the season, marking the only time since their playoff defeat that the WP team did not win the game.
