Serving Waitsburg, Dayton and the Touchet Valley

Dear Editor,

It comes to no surprise that Mr. Snyder took it upon himself to write a letter to the editor concerning the candidacy for the hospital board. His personal vendetta towards Mr. Bickelhaupt is quite clear. Mr. Snyder states that Mr. Bickelhaupt's position on the board would be a conflict of interest because of his real estate business. What is ironic is that Mr. Snyder ran for the exact same position on the board and he too is in real estate.

Most of all, it is very sad that Mr. Snyder's endorsement of a candidate is based on untruths and misstatements about Mr. Bickelhaupt. I would like to make it clear that this candidacy is not about business, it is about the hospital. If Mr. Snyder is concerned about the hospital and endorsing Mrs. Sproul, then his focus should be on her qualifications and what she can bring to the hospital board.

Mr. Bickelhaupt has owned his business in the same town that he has raised his family in. In those years, he has worked hard to support the community and will continue to do so. His personal agenda is his faith, family, friends and then his business.

As Mr. Bickelhaupt's daughter, I find Mr. Snyder's dirty politics unnecessary and redundant. If you are going to attack someone's ethics and morals you should probably have the facts and get it right first time.
