Imagination Yoga for Kids Carnegie Center 5:45 to 6:30 p.m. Story time just got better! A certified Imagination yoga facilitator takes a class of young children on grand adventures as they imagine yoga in a castle, on a farm, in outer space, with the dinosaurs and many other exciting endeavors, while learning beautiful yoga poses, greater concentration, increased relaxation, and body awareness. Your child will experience creativity through visualization, breath, movement and music. Introduce your active child to the benefits of yoga as they build strength, balance, and concentration through this fun and imaginative class. These classes are instructed by Jennifer Matson, Certified Imagination Yoga Instructor. The cost is $24. The center is located at 109 S. Palouse St., Walla Walla.

First Thursday Concert

This First Thursday Concert will feature music performed by Debra Bakland (formerly Richter) of Canadian University College, LaCombe, Alberta, playing piano; Amy Dodds of Whitman College, violin, and Lyn Ritz of Walla Walla University, violin and viola. The music of Mozart, Beach, Clarke and Tchaikovsky will be on the program. The performers have asked that contributions be given to the Red Cross. Bring a friend, your lunch and enjoy the music. Lego-Rama Dayton Memorial Library 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Families are welcome to come join the fun for one hour as each individual will put Legos together for various events we'll do within the hour. To be held the first Friday of each month, January through March. You may bring your own Legos if you choose.

Chamber Music Festival

The Walla Walla Chamber Music Festival will present its first annual Winter Chamber Music Festival. Six musical events are set in a variety of traditional and non-traditional venues. The acclaimed PROJECT Trio, of Brooklyn, New York, makes its WWCMF debut. Classically trained, but well versed in jazz, hip-hop, rock, and folk music, PROJECT Trio are classical musicians of the 21st century. Tickets for the paid events can be purchased online, on the phone (800.838.3006), and in person at the Destination Walla Walla Kiosk on Main Street.
