Everyday Hero

Debbie Hays has been selected as the December 2011 Coalition for Youth and Families Everyday Hero. Debbie was nominated by Michelle McCleary (right) for her extensive support and contributions to the youth of Columbia County. Debbie has an extensive history of serving the 4-H program as a leader, camp director, leader's council. She also has been involved with the Booster Club, Lions Club, countless fundraising events, running concession stands, and Fire Fighters Association. Debbie has also adopted many school kids that are less fortunate and has made sure they have money for sporting events and have appropriate clothes to wear for sports teams and special dances. She transports kids to and from sporting events and applies for grants for kids in sports and 4-H to help with activity fees.
