Sara Heggen

Former Waitsburg resident Sara (Leid) Heggen, 28, passed away January 12, 2012, at her home in Bremerton, Wash.

Sara was born July 3, 1983, in Walla Walla, Wash, to Greg and Joan Leid. She attended school in Waitsburg, graduating from Waitsburg High School in 2001.

After graduation she moved to Bremerton to attend West Sound Tech and received her Associates Degree and her Esthetician License.

In 2001 she married Jason Heggen in Waitsburg. On January 3, 2005, their daughter Kayda was born.

Sara enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband Jason Heggen, one daughter, Kayda Heggen, both of Bremerton; her parents Greg and Joan Leid, of Waitsburg; one brother, Matt Leid, of Waitsburg; and one sister Jamie Katoff, of San Francisco, Calif. She was preceded in death by one grandfather and one infant son Tanner Heggen.

Funeral services were held Wednesday January 18, 2012, at Waitsburg Presbyterian Church, 504 Main Street, Waitsburg, WA. Pastor Jimmie Daves will officiate.

Burial will follow at Waitsburg City Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Hubbard Rogg Funeral Home, 111 South 2nd, Dayton, Wash.
